Sun Microsystems are the creators and developers of the computer programming language that is known as java. Before a java programme can operate on a computer the computer must be a Java Virtual Machine. The most common use for java is with the internet and applications used for the internet. Java as a computer programming language is different from other languages in that two ways, firstly in that it is compiled and secondly in that it is interpreted.

On the dayjob website we list all sorts of it jobs including many java jobs. Java also has a application known as java applets, which are basically java additions, that enables them to run with browsers that use java.

Java is a programming language that is both portable and object orientated. There is also a java tool known as the Java Application Programming Interface [Java API], this basically helps a programmer when they are using java. Java offers many useful tools to a programmer, they include things like animation, 3D graphics, electronic signatures, just to name a few.
