Yesterday afternoon I saw your advert for a Civil Engineer on the Dayjob.com website. I am keen to apply for it as I am eager to become part of a unique company like yours that seeks to build economically viable and environmentally friendly buildings.

I come to you as someone who has the expertise needed to meet the needs of the most complex and challenging assignments. I possess an in-depth understanding of all the physical aspects of the construction industry, including materials, machinery, and infrastructure designs. One of my strongest skills is my ability to check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.

At the moment I am working for one of the world’s leading engineering and environmental consultants. I am intimately involved in high quality building construction and civil engineering works that have produced many impressive landmark projects. My daily duties include attending sites during construction, keeping a Site Diary, and testing and calibration engineering equipment and instruments.

On a personal level I have well developed interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a wider interdisciplinary team and am willing to take responsibility for my actions. I am flexible enough to be able to change plans at short notice to secure better results, and have no problem working to standardized procedures.
