Davidsons IT Contractors
123 Addison Road
Derby
DE2 1AA

Date: 2nd March 2011
Ref: Database Administrator Vacancy

Dear Sir / Madam

I have been reliably informed by an employee of your company, a Mr Terence Brown that you have a vacancy for a Database Administrator.

If this is true then I would be very interested in the position. I feel that I have the necessary work experience, skill sets and qualifications to make me an ideal candidate for this opening.

For the last three years I have been working as a Database Administrator for Dayjob Ltd. I have excellent references from my current and previous employers and have experience of maintenance, rollouts and upgrades.

I would like an opportunity to talk to you in person so I can explain in more detail how I feel my abilities can benefit your company and improve it’s performance. I am available for interviews most weekdays, please feel free to contact me by email, phone or post.

Yours faithfully

Mr Richard Jones
