Responsible for coordinating the resources of the admissions team and for being of assistance to everyone who comes into contact with the department.


  • Uploading and updating all pre-admission information 24 hours prior to actual admission.
  • Referring patients to other programs and institutions.
  • Completing the necessary paperwork and procedures to schedule and admit service users.
  • Keeping patients safe by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Updating missing information when service users registers and verifying accuracy of service user billing information.
  • Confirming that patients have insurance that meets the standards of admission.
  • Verifying the insurance coverage for all new patients.
  • Obtaining copies of all insurance cards and calculating amount of patient payment charges.
  • Deal with sensitive and confidential information within the frameworks of the Data Protection Act and any professional guidelines.
  • Liaising with physicians, case managers, social workers, and discharge planners, liaisons and transitional care staff.
  • Managing multiple phone lines.
  • Keeping the organization up to date with admissions regulations.
  • Organising tours for all interested parties.
  • Greeting new referrals in a polite and professional manner.
