Dear Ms Graham,
Please consider my application for the post of Admissions Officer as per your advertisement on the dayjob.com website.
For me students must demonstrate a well-rounded skill set and a true commitment to their chosen subject if they are to succeed in their application. I make sure that they are not just applying to university for the social life, but instead that they will be able to cope with the workloads of their chosen course and thrive at a higher level of education.
You will see from my attached CV that I have the ability to manage and maintain a University’s central admissions systems, policies and procedures. I can professionally handle telephone and email enquiries from prospective students, their parents, teachers and advisers independently and in a timely and professional manner. I am able to access, use, and interpret data and information from a range of sources to make effective decisions and consider alternative options.
On a personal level I am a true team player who is open to feedback and willing to listen to advice from colleagues. Furthermore, I possess the personal warmth, emotional intelligence and ability to inspire confidence and respect in those that I meet.
You can rely on me to build the reputation of your university across multiple platforms.
Right now I would like to join an institution like yours where I can harness my skills and fulfil my true earning and career potential. I am available to come in for an interview at any time, and would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and your staff. I hope that I am granted an opportunity to talk and perhaps meet with you in the very near future.
