I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Diesel Mechanic position that your company advertised yesterday on the Dayjob.com website.
As I have thorough knowledge of the accepted principles involved in gas and diesel engine repair and maintenance, I feel I would make an ideal candidate for your current vacancy.
My skill at quickly identifying the root causes of any mechanical failures means that I can increase the operational efficiency of any garage that I work for. Furthermore, I am able to operate electrical and diagnostics equipment that requires a high level of skill. I have no problem utilizing the latest computer technology to diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems. I would also like to point out that I have gained extensive welding, fabrication and cutting torch experience.
What I feel really set me apart from everyone else is my knowledge of safety procedures and precautions for working with heavy equipment. I am also physically fit and able to climb in and out of cabs and trailers up to twenty or more times per day.
Aside from my mechanical competencies I have no problem working under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust and dirt. Furthermore I possess my own tools and am willing to be employed in a unionised environment.
Right now I want to work for a garage that is looking for capable mechanics to join their team.
