Yesterday I saw an advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Electrical Supervisor, and I am writing to express my keen interest in the position.
As someone who has extensive experience of overseeing the daily maintenance activities performed by skilled and semi-skilled electrical workers, I feel I would be a perfect candidate for your opening.
I have the ability to develop performance requirements for subordinates and ensure a mutual understanding of the standards required for operational success. Being a real team player I always confer with other supervisors to coordinate the activities of individual departments. I will bring to the table my ability to;
- Repair overhead and underground power lines.
- Resolve recurring electrical issues at their root cause.
- Reward and discipline employees appropriately.
I possess good analytical problem solving as well as troubleshooting skills, and pride myself on my ability to remain calm in emergency situations. I can manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment and can accurately interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers.
My key strengths include repairing and maintaining electrical equipment such as generators, alternators and motors.
For the last two years I have been employed by Northern Construction in a role similar to the one you are advertising. I am mainly responsible for supervising and managing all plant electrical assigned programs and estimating the time and material costs of various projects.
