Dear Ms Graham,
With reference to your advertised vacancy for a Horticulturist, please find attached my CV for your kind consideration.
I want a world where plants are understood, valued and conserved.
I am a practical, knowledgeable and physically fit Horticulturist with a flair for visual garden design and plant selection. I hold a list of academic horticultural qualifications and have considerable experience of the day to day cultivation, maintenance and development of gardens.
Through my current role with .............., I have learnt how to prepare gardens for daily visitors and ensure that they are well maintained with health plants. At work, I not only use a variety of hand and power tools to make a garden safe and attractive for members of the public, but also to ensure its compliance with all external and internal regulations. I would also like to mention that I am involved in supervising horticultural volunteers, seasonal employees, and interns on a daily basis.
Aside from my technical competencies I have a vibrant, energetic and “can do” approach to getting things done, and furthermore have the resilience needed to work under pressure to strict deadlines. Furthermore, you can rely on me to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
I am keen to work for a company like yours that can provide me with intellectually challenging and stimulating work. Please find attached my current CV, which further details my achievements and qualifications.
