I am an experienced Kitchen Hand who is looking for a new challenge like the one you advertised yesterday on the Dayjob.com website.

I really enjoy the kitchen environment and am keen to become more experienced in every facet within it. I consider myself a resilient individual who can keep smiling even when things are getting a bit hectic. Because of both of the above two points, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be a breath of fresh air to any company that I join.

At the moment I work for Northern Caterers as a Kitchen Assistant. My primary role is to clean pots, pans, hot plate components and grills etc. Aside for this I am also involved in chopping vegetables, spinning salads and grating cheese. Through my work I have learnt how to;

Work unsupervised in a busy environment.
Do demanding duties that require a great deal of concentration.
Prepare “hot” as well as “cold” dishes in line with my supervisor’s instructions.

In my opinion what really sets me apart from other candidates is my ability to thoroughly clean regularly used cooking utensil to the required standard of cleanliness. I do this by properly planning my work duties in an orderly and structured way.

Right now I am keen to join a company like yours where I will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay.
