Dear Ms Graham,
From a recent advert on the Dayjob.com website, I understand that your institution is going through a period of rapid expansion and is now seeking to recruit a capable Academic Coordinator. As an experienced professional who has a long history of guiding students along the path of higher education, I feel I would be an ideal candidate for your opening.
Since July 2013 I have been working for the ……………….. College, in a role similar to the one you are advertising. In my current role I am mainly responsible for analysing applications, providing curriculum information, assisting students who are experiencing academic difficulty and encouraging students to engage in college events. Aside from this I am deeply involved in developing academic plans and university policies.
I can easily work with complex systems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have in the past worked in settings which had diverse and multicultural populations. Furthermore, I can quickly disseminate detailed information, have an understanding of proper phone etiquette and possess in-depth knowledge of the latest graduate degree requirements.
As you can see from the enclosed CV, I have extensive experience of monitoring the academic progress of students toward degrees, certifications, and the completion of their educational goals.
In closing I would like to stress how keen I am to schedule an interview with you at your convenience. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting with you to learn more about your institution, along with its plans and goals, and how I might contribute to your continued success.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to review my application and expectantly look forward to hearing from you.
