Dear Ms Graham,
I am taking this opportunity to apply for the Academic Counselor vacancy you advertised on the Dayjob.com website. After reading the job description I firmly believe that my qualifications, skills and abilities perfectly match the competencies you are looking for in a candidate.
I am an individual who pursues everything with a determination that sets me apart from everyone else.
If things start to go wrong, I’ve got the skills to put it right.
In my present position with…………….., I advise and counsel students in relation to academic programs. I help them to make the right decisions by giving them information and assistance to navigate the academic system. At work I have learnt how to be part a team that pushes towards a common goal. I also serve on committees, attend meetings, assist with administrative responsibilities and supervise junior staff.
As you can see from my attached CV I am a true professional who always completes tasks on time and goes out of my way to meet any schedules, legal requirements and negotiated deadlines.
On a personal level I like to meet people, make new friends and get involved with what is going on around me. Furthermore, being very competitive, energetic and goal orientated means that I am driven to succeed and able to overcome setbacks.
Right now I am keen to work for an organisation like yours where I will be surrounded by teammates who push me to be better, and where I will be able to grow through continuous coaching and support. I would very much welcome a personal meeting with you to discuss your needs and my ability to meet them. My schedule is flexible and I am available for interview during the day, evening and at the weekend.
