Dear Ms Graham,
It is with great anticipation that I present my CV to you in response to your advertisement yesterday on the dayjob.com website for a Academic Tutor.
I come to you as someone who can engage, encourage and promote the skills of students. This is something I do primarily through the creation of personalised plans for each pupil that can make a real difference.
With my present employer I ensure that every young person has the support, skills and aspirations needed to realise their potential. I am involved in setting comprehensive targets for the students, and mentoring them towards them. I plan, prepare and deliver inspiring weekly lessons where I use my up to date knowledge, enthusiasm and interest in the subject to get everyone involved.
You can rely on me to work collaboratively, under pressure and with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. I possess a strong commitment to all related academic quality, health and safety, equality and diversity, and safeguarding issues.
On a personal level I am a polished communicator, both verbally and in writing, who is able to present myself credibly to an audience. Furthermore, I work effectively with others as a member of the team and have no trouble in consulting and sharing information with colleagues.
Right now, I would like to work for a school where staff morale is high and there is low employee turnover. In closing I would like to thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to discussing my application with you in greater detail in the near future.
