I noticed your recent advertisement for an Assembler and think I would make an excellent candidate for it.
I get great satisfaction out of putting things together, and am someone who is committed to doing my fair share of work in a team environment.
After reviewing my attached resume you will quickly see that I have the practical skills needed to operate machinery and the natural ability needed to work quickly and methodically. You can rely on me to use tools and my own hands to put various parts together to make a finished product. I have no problem standing or sitting for long periods of time at a workbench or assembly line doing repetitive tasks.
Currently I have three year’s experience of soldering wires and other electronic components into printed circuit boards using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment. As part of my duties I work less than an arm’s length away on both sides from fellow assemblers. I report directly to the factory manager and have been commended for consistently meeting defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements.
Aside my manual competencies I respond well to criticism and am able to take on board feedback. Furthermore, I like to think that I can solve problems on my own using creative thinking and thoughtful analysis. I would also like to mention that I am willing to perform duties outside of my normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Company.
Right now I would like to work for a company like yours where I will get extra payments for unsocial shifts and overtime, and productivity bonuses.
