Dear Ms Graham,
Whilst browsing the job adverts on the Dayjob.com website, I came across your vacancy for a Bus Operator. After reading the job description I am convinced of my suitability for the role and am keen to apply for the said position.
I am a careful driver who is really good with people, and who gets a real kick out of making my passengers happy.
I can be relied upon to ensure that delays are minimised during periods of disruption, such as road closures. As a responsible and professional operator, I come to you with a bank of nationally recognised industry qualifications, and a strong desire to participate in everything that is going on around me.
Beyond that which is already mentioned in the attached resume, I am someone who can absorb, understand, and consider ideas and points of view from other people. I always comply fully with internal and external safety policies and legislation, and am happy to work roistered shifts which include early starts, late finishes and weekends. I would also like to mention that I have not had any drink driving or drug offences within the last five years.
For me it would be an honour to join a well-established company like yours that has a professional working environment, and a reputation for welcoming applications from candidates, no matter what their age, gender, ethnicity, or lifestyle.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange an interview at your convenience.
