Dear Ms Graham,
In response to your recent advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Business Intelligence Analyst, I would like to be considered for the position and have attached CV with this letter for your kind consideration.
I am not only an expert at interpreting volumes of data and identifying trends, but also very good at presenting my findings in a concise and simple manner using charts, graphs and tables.
I have competencies which I feel are highly relevant to your position, not least my ability to design, develop, test and deploy BI solutions. Furthermore, I am a candidate who is self-motivated, driven to succeed and keen to learn new methods and approaches.
In addition to all of the above, I have a comprehensive understanding of data quality principles, and possess commercial experience of working in the Financial, Insurance, Customer Service and Sales environments. As someone who is polite, friendly and assertive, I can be an effective communicator right up to Board level.
I am very keen to join a company like yours, which is looking to bring on board an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst who has a willingness to pursue lines of questioning right up to their logical conclusion.
With my present employer I have been commended for creating a Data Warehouse from scratch. What I like most about my present job is that it has given me extensive experience of the full Business Intelligence project lifecycle.
I very much hope that you will look favourably upon my application by recognizing my enthusiasm as well as talents, and invite me to an interview.
