Dear Ms Graham,
This letter is to express my interest in your vacant position for a Dental Nurse, which was recently advertised on the Dayjob.com website.
I am committed to developing my dentistry skills in a way that best suits the needs of my patients.
As a friendly and conscientious person with initiative and excellent interpersonal skills I can effectively engage with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals in all elements of my role. I would also like to mention my experience of working within a multidisciplinary team to carry out key tasks such as selecting and preparing fillings and impression materials.
During my career I have learnt how to accurately calculate treatment costs and then tactfully explain them to patients.
With my current employer I am responsible for liaising with practise receptionists to ensure smooth patient communications and the transfer of records. I am also involved in taking notes from the Dentist’s dictation for records, and furthermore once a patient has left I am in charge of tidying the surgery and sterilising all of the used instruments.
On a personal level I have the right attitude and commitment levels needed to be able to work using my own initiative. I am someone who is not afraid to notify the dentist of any problems that I have notice or come across.
Right now I want to work for a company that will help me to enhance my skills and qualifications and enable me to grow within my organisation.
Please find further proof of my competencies in the attached CV. In closing I would like to stress how keen I am to schedule an interview with you at your convenience.
