  • Previous experience of working for government agencies, environmental trusts, conservation charities and research institutes.
  • Physically fit and able to travel and walk extensively.
  • Keeping up to date with new environmental policies and legislation.
  • Experience of policy and management work.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and observing data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
  • Have a firm grasp of scientific methodology.
  • Communicating with and advising engineering firms, road planners, construction firms and other stakeholders.


  • Flexible, adaptable and responsive to change.
  • Have a full driving license and possess own vehicle.
  • Sympathetic to the views and opinions of others.
  • Never giving up on a project half way through.
