Dear Ms Graham,
From a recent advert on the Dayjob.com website, I understand that your company is going through a period of rapid expansion and is now seeking a new member of staff to work within its finance team.
I am someone who will grasp every moment and every opportunity to improve your business functions.
As a true professional I have a good understanding of key accounting principles, always complete my duties competently and have a logical approach to problem solving. In addition to this I am highly analytical, a natural problem solver and extremely motivated to succeed in everything that I do.
With my present employer I have gained a well-deserved reputation for exercising judgment within procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action. At work I am primarily responsible for meeting all financial reporting deadlines and for using transaction documents, along with internal control mechanisms, to calculate and direct cash and asset movements. My other duties include proactively interrogating financial data, investigating variances in results against expectations and ensuring compliance with all corporate governance requirements.
Right now I would like to work for a company where the ideas I come up with will be heard and where the salary is competitive within market rates, and comes with a comprehensive package.
I hope my attached resume will entice you enough to invite me for an interview, if it does then please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange one.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review my application.
