Human resources manager jobs and adviser jobs are based in personnel departments
The tasks of the HR professional can differ and is mainly focused on the selected organisations needs and the price that the organisations senior managers put on the HR function. It also includes working on a tactical level within a range of HR policies, practises and processes in conjunction with the business needs of the organisation. In addition, HR advisers work within day-to-day issues such as contracts of employment, recruitment, training, payroll, induction, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancies programmes settings up staff support systems and equal opportunities policies. However, in large organisations, applicants could specialise in one of these areas, whereas in smaller companies you would most likely deal with all features of the job.
Training involved
Having a good education is important, and this is evident as most HR professionals will have a NVQ at level 3 or above, or a first degree in a are of importance regarding the position. A wide selection of the right type of qualifications needed include NVQs in training and development, management or administration, and postgraduate qualifications are also more rapidly available.
Qualities that are needed in this position
At this strategic level, good understandings of business needs are required. In addition, straight forward, honest and approachable manner is essential when you are dealing with colleagues.
Salary
With regards to qualification, expertise, experience and the business sector it will have an effect on you salary but ranges form £17,000-£30,000 HR managers include £20,000-50,000
