Dear Ms Graham,
With reference to your advertised vacancy for an Investment Analyst, please find attached my CV for your review and consideration.
I have a long and successful track record of analysing securities to generate long/short ideas, produce briefs, and come to conclusions. In addition to this I possess a strong academic record that includes a Degree from a top-tier university, which demonstrates that I am someone who has studied at the highest levels.
Having hands on experience in stock level risk analysis means that I can quickly identify themes and trends that are influencing not only shares but also economics and markets. Furthermore I have exposure to Emerging Markets and deep in built knowledge of particular industries and geographies.
For the last two years I have been employed as an Investment Analyst by Northern Securities. In my role I am primarily responsible for performing investment analysis on companies within a portfolio, leading client facing meetings and driving improvements where needed.
On a personal level I am an intellectually curiosity individual who is able to think independently and challenge consensus views. I also possess the high levels of credibility and confidence needed in order to research, present and support ideas within a self-challenging environment.
I know I can be a great asset to your company and look forward to discussing with you in person how I can contribute to your continued success. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to review my application and expectantly look forward to hearing from you.
