Dear Ms Graham,
Your advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Mechanical Technician caught my eye, as I appear to be a perfect match for it.
As someone who has a long track record of being able to maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and up-time, I feel I would be an ideal candidate for your current vacancy.
I possess the most important requirement for success in your role, namely my ability to perform my duties based on scheduled work plans and in accordance with any documented procedures.
In addition to my deep experience of directing workloads within an assembly department, I also have extensive knowledge of how to simplify processes through innovation, integrity and teamwork. You can also be assured that I will use my technical skills to ensure that safety for all is maintained at acceptable levels.
At my current place of work I am mainly involved in assisting in the installation, setup and checkout of major mechanical subsystems. I assist colleagues to test, inspect, and repair mechanical assemblies. On a typical day I will inspect completed work for conformance to drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Right now I am looking for an opportunity where I will be able to take the lead role in any mechanical projects.
I have excellent references and would be delighted to discuss your vacancy with you at a time and place of your convenience. Therefor please feel free to contact me to arrange an interview with you at a time and place of your choice.
