Dear Ms Graham,
Please accept my enthusiastic application for your Mechanical Technician position which was advertised today on the Dayjob.com website.
I have the mechanical skills and aptitude needed to install, repair, operate, troubleshoot and perform a wide range of planned maintenance and corrective tasks. These are key duties that will be required of the successful applicant, and ones which I can expertly carry out.
As a true professional I take a proactive approach to daily, weekly and periodic maintenance issues, and can be relied upon to quickly perform any emergency repair work.
The nature of my career to date means that I now have no problem troubleshooting routine problems by coming up with practical and cost effective solutions. Through my various roles I have worked on metal, fiberglass and composites as well as a wide range of various other materials. All of these points combined with my ability to meet production deadlines and quality specifications, leads me to the conclusion that I am the best person for your vacancy.
On a personal level I am someone who is physically fit and able to lift heavy pieces of equipment around. In addition to this I have superb communication, collaboration and teambuilding skills.
At this moment in time I want to be part of a fast-growing company like yours which has award-winning products and a capable team. I am certain that a face-to-face meeting would more fully reveal my positive attitude and ability to meet your expectations. I would therefore be much obliged if you were to invite me to an interview at a time and place of your choice.
Thank you very much for you time, consideration and hopefully forthcoming positive reply.
