Dear Ms Graham,
Further to the Network Engineer role you advertised today on the Dayjob.com website, I would like to say that I am very interested in the position and eager to apply for it.
Your role is perfect for someone like me who is an expert at resolving basic network specific problems that relate to workstations, peripherals and networking related software.
Everything you want from an applicant, I can do. I possess in-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools as well as related protocols, and have no problem configuring new network equipment and connections. I have the ability to lead small, medium and large sized technical projects. Furthermore, and on a personal level, I pride myself on being able to swiftly adapt to networking project needs and to the rapidly changing conditions of the IT world.
As someone who can develop effective processes, I will have no trouble making procedures as simple as possible. This is something I can do thanks to my extensive working knowledge of protocols, ports, technologies and interfaces.
With my current employer I am primarily responsible for defining the exact purpose of a network for clients, and then coming up with a plan of action that is acceptable to all parties involved in a project.
What I would really like now is to join a company where my hard work will be appreciated and where I will be able to contribute to the overall mission of the company.
If after reading my attached resume you feel I have the potential that you are looking for in a candidate then please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an interview.
