Dear Ms Graham,
In response to your recent advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Nurse Manager, I would like to be considered for the position and have attached my CV with this letter for your kind consideration.
I have the ability to maximize the productivity of frontline nurses and medical resources. I can create an environment that fosters nursing excellence and promotes engaged medical staff. I am able to use my superb leadership and staff management skills to ensure that optimum nursing care is provided, staffing is maintained, and costs contained.
If you employ me, you will gain someone who can effectively use state of the art medical equipment, manage medical budgets, identify unnecessary expenditure and get value for money in any procurement plan. In addition to this I can simultaneously manage multiple complex tasks that require a great deal of attention and focus.
I consider myself a real Middle Manager who is confident in their ability to take on the ever-expanding role of a senior nurse. I will maintain a professional image at all times and will never let the side down in my dealing with external bodies.
At my current place of work I am mainly in charge of coordinating administrative and clinical activities, both inter and intra-departmentally. Aside from this I am also tasked with handling phone calls from patients regarding medical problems and laboratory results.
To help you make a decision on my application I have attached my most recent CV with this letter. If you feel that I have the potential that you are looking for in a candidate then please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an interview.
