A Pet Sitter cover letter must not only show your love of animals, but also your experience of ensuring pet safety, feeding animals, take them for walks and providing them with companionship.

Pet Sitters play a vital role in caring for animals in their own home whilst their owner is away. You must therefore show prospective employers that you enjoy being around animals, but can also oversee a pet to ensure it’s optimal safety.

Your cover letter is the first real opportunity you have of speaking directly to a prospective employer. You can increase your chances of winning an interview by writing it to a high standard and targeting it at the role you want. In it show employers you are an all-rounder who can not only exercise pets regularly as needed such as through dog walking, but also stay in the home of the owner, so the pets can remain on their familiar territory.

On this page you will get advice and pre-written examples on how to write a cover letter that puts you ahead of other candidates.
