Dear Ms Graham,
I would like to put my name forward for your position of Risk Manager which was recently advertised on the Dayjob.com website. I consider myself a well qualified individual, who would be an excellent candidate for this position.
My passion for risk management is in equal measure matched by my experience in it. I am therefore very confident in my ability to analyse, articulate and report on specific risks that go beyond the confines of simple health and safety.
I firmly believe that security remains, even today, one of the principle risk areas that an organisation must look to strengthen. Rather than assessing each of your risk areas individually, I will conduct an overall strategic and operational review of your organisation and manage your risks as a whole.
At the moment I am employed by ………….., in a role similar to the one you are trying to fill. As part of my role I guide my colleagues on all related issues and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with any quality assurance system or service quality standards. Through my career I have delivered a comprehensive range of surveys, site checks, assessments, audits and valuations of residential and commercial properties such as retail parks, industrial estates and offices.
Aside from my technical competencies, I consider myself an approachable manager who maintains appropriate behaviour and speech, in a way that encourages dialogue and trust. I am comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels and can be relied upon to share information in a transparent manner, whilst maintaining the necessary confidentiality.
More proof of my abilities and future potential can be found in the attached resume.
I look forward to discussing my candidacy as well as this position with you in the near future. Please feel free to contact me regarding an interview.
