I am writing to you because I would like to apply for your Teaching Assistant vacancy which was recently advertised on the Dayjob.com website.
As someone who is committed and willing in equal measure to do my utmost to raise standards and drive the attainment of my pupils forward, I feel I would make an ideal candidate for your position.
At the moment I am employed as a Teaching Assistant by the Northern School. During my time with them I have gained experience of teaching students who have dyslexia, autism or behavioural needs and have also learnt how to responding appropriately to a child’s individual needs.
On a personal level I have the determination needed to succeed in any challenging environment and pride myself on being a principled person who has strong ethics. In addition to this I am, reliable, have a good sense of humour and am able to work as part of an established team. I am willing to submit myself to enhanced police disclosure checks and can provide you with professional references.
I have experience of teaching children of varying ages and abilities, and am very good at identifying children who need additional support.
My aim right now is to arrange an interview with you at your convenience, where we will be able to discuss my application in more detail.
