Dear Ms Graham,

I am a physically fit individual who is eager to become a volunteer with your organisation and help out with any administrative or manual tasks. I believe that volunteers are the lifeblood of institutions like yours and I come to you as a committed and dedicated individual who is genuinely interested in your cause.

You will find me to be a reliable person who is always there when I say I will be there. As a committed individual I am willing to give up modern creature comforts like a comfortable bed, high speed Internet and hot baths, to get a job done. I have the determination needed to put my values and beliefs into action.

During my ‘career’ as a volunteer I have worked with vulnerable groups such as the sick, poor and disabled. In the past I have been commended for my integrity and can be trusted to do important things.

I am a superb communicator who exhibits professional behaviour at all times so as not to offend people who are less fortunate than I am. I can calmly adapt to changing circumstances or demands and accept setbacks when they occur and then work to overcome them. Aside from this I have my own car which I am willing to use to travel to locations.

I sincerely hope you will be in touch with me within the next few days as regards an interview and I would like to remind you that I can be contacted directly either on my mobile…………… or by email on …………………………

Thank you for your time, consideration and forthcoming response.

Yours sincerely,
