Dear Ms Graham,
I am a hard-working and switched on person who wants to get in on the ground floor and to start a career with a company like yours. I have seen your vacancy for an Administrative Assistant and believe that my broad range of skills and experiences make me an ideal candidate for it.
At the moment I am in a fairly similar position, to the one you are advertising, with a company called Central Couriers. I directly support the Managing Director and on a typical day answer the phones, man the office reception, file paperwork, manage the stationary, organise couriers and deposit cheques at the bank.
I have learnt all of the skills needed to be successful in this role, and am confident that I will be able to exceed your specific requirements. I feel what really sets me apart from all the other candidates is my proven ability to provide a responsive and highly supportive administrative service in a fast paced office based environment. In addition to this, I have excellent IT skills and am a proficient user of Microsoft Office packaged like Word & Excel.
Having attained most of my career goals, I now want to work for an established and expanding business like yours where hard work is rewarded. I therefore really look forward to the opportunity to meet with you in person so as to learn more about your firm, its goals and how I might help you to achieve them.
I thank you for taking the time to review my application and expectantly look forward to hearing from you as regards an interview.
