Further to your recent advertisement on the Dayjob.com website for a Bar Manager, I would like to be considered for this vacancy and enclose my CV for your review.

In total, I have over four years of industry experience, which have given me an in-depth understanding of how to create a welcoming environment where customers can eat, drink and relax.

At the moment I work for a well known chain of Hotels, and am responsible for managing a fashionable bar in a busy city centre location. The business owners are very satisfied with my performance, especially my ability to hit revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. I am primarily responsible for managing the performance of staff to ensure the efficient delivery of service to guests. Part of my job also requires me to listen to the feedback from my customers and keep a close eye on trends and competitors alike.

I fully understand the importance of upholding a brand’s reputation, and am proud to say that during my career I have gained extensive knowledge of wines, craft beers and ciders needed to do this. My key skills include, but are not limited to;

  • Ensuring staff display high levels of courtesy, service and cleanliness of the bar areas.
  • Putting my guests at the heart of every decision I make.
  • Continually developing and enhancing the Bar menu.

On a personal level I consider myself to be a switched on person who has a lot of passion and energy that I use in a productive way.
