Responsible for following and enforcing all prison Standard Operating Procedures, rules and regulations.

Duties;

  • Encouraging prisoners to participate in work and education programmes.
  • Using the correct amount of physical control and restraint procedures where appropriate.
  • Checking visitors in and out of the prison.
  • Transporting inmates by vehicles such as trailers, vans, buses, and other forms of transportation.
  • Looking after inmates during meals and recreational time.
