Dear Ms Graham,
With reference to an advertisement on the Dayjob.com website, I am applying for the post of Debt Collector with your organisation.
As someone who is very effective at evaluating customer information to determine outstanding account resolution, I feel I would be an excellent choice for your vacant position. After reading the job description I am further convinced that your role requires someone like me who can properly manage debtor and arrear processes. Based on your description of the ideal candidate, I can offer you my ability to;
- Solve issues that have prevented your customers from resolving their debt.
- Add value to a relationship at every contact with a customer.
- Educate and counsel customers on account terms and payment programs.
Because of my huge respect for the law, I always strive to comply with all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to bankruptcy practices.
With my current employer I am primarily responsible for analysing detailed financial statements from clients to determine their capacity to pay back what they may owe. Every day I work with people to help resolve their bad debt and negotiate a payment plan for them. I am right at the frontline of taking incoming calls from customers who want to resolve their debt issues.
I pride myself on my commitment to excellence and my reliable attendance and punctuality record.
Right now I would like to join a company that has a professional office setting and a very positive work atmosphere.
I would like to discuss this position with you in more detail and would be very grateful if you were to invite me to an interview.
