I became a Nurse to better the lives of my patients.
I recognise that every patient is different and has unique needs, because of this I always treat them as individuals rather than names. I take the time to listen to and understand their concerns, so am better prepared to address issues as they arise, resulting in better patient outcomes.
As per your requirements, I have the exceptional communication skills needed to be able to deal with high-stress situations. You will never see me panic in an emergency situation, instead I will remain cool, calm and collected.
In my current role I have made a name for myself by delivering a personalised service to clinicians, service users and senior managers. My colleagues feel confident that they are not only working with someone they can trust, but that I will always be there to support them when the going gets tough.
On a personal level, I do not have any ego issues. If a patient indicates that they’re unhappy about their treatment or care, then I am prepared to change and ask others for advice or assistance.
