Dear Ms Graham,
I am writing to express my interest and enthusiasm for your current Procurement Manager vacancy which I saw advertised yesterday on the Dayjob.com website.
Through my ability to identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements, I appear to meet all of your requirements as a candidate. I come to you as someone who can positively impact any existing buying team. I will do this by providing the leadership required to drive key procurement initiatives and by building effective relationships within existing supplier networks.
At my current place of work I am mainly in charge of negotiating and completing contracts with complex suppliers. I work with colleagues to develop measurable targets that define success, carry out detailed comparisons of quotes and tap business opportunities in both new and established markets. On a typical day I will handle a number of high visibility projects at the same time.
During my career I have gained a wide range of skills that are directly related to your position, these include my ability to;
- Resolve procurement issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain a database of suitable vendors.
- Use my knowledge of supervisory practices, procedures, and techniques to manage a large team.
What I would like now is to join an ambitious company like yours that helps its employees to grow within their roles.
I hope you will carefully consider my application and honour me with an interview. I can be reached on my mobile at ……………….., or by email at ……………….
In closing I would like to thank you for taking up some of your valuable time to review my application.
