Dear Ms Graham,
Your posting on Dayjob.com for a Security Officer position caught my eye because I am currently looking for just such an opening. I come to you as a flexible, hands on team player who is hungry to succeed and reach the top of my field.
I have a track record of providing a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence at any place that I work. In addition to this and as a true professional I continuously look for ways to redefine best practice, and always strive to do things better next time. I am fluent in spoken and written English, have a clean driving license, own a reliable vehicle and am willing to travel to work sites. Furthermore, I possess excellent physical stamina and am able to walk around for long periods of time.
For the last two years I have been working as a Security Officer at the Southern Shopping Mall. My main duty is to deter theft and antisocial behaviour by walking around various stores and monitoring CCTV cameras. In addition to this I am also occasionally required to manage all entry points, escort VIP’s, write written reports on incidents and deal with various emergency situations.
Right now I am eager to put my unique talents to good use by joining your dedicated, diverse and high-performing workforce. I enclose a copy of my CV and hope you will look favourably upon my application.
I thank you for your time and expectantly look forward to hearing from you as regards an interview.
