PERSONAL SUMMARY

A mature, responsible, and fun Choreographer who loves to share her passion for dance. Maxine can ensure that routines will look good to an audience through the meticulous planning of dances, costumes, music, and visuals. She can put together dance sequences that will not only match a song, but also interpret a story through movement. You can rely on her to work on a whole performance, from teaching the steps to the dancers to liaising with costume designers and directors to achieve the desired outcome.

Her key strength is being able to find the right dancers for a role and picking the best music for a dance performance. She is also an expert at directing the focus of a dance, whether it’s to tell a story, explore a piece of music or invoke an emotion.

Has extensive dancing skills and keeps active and up to date with the latest trends in the dance world. A multi-tasker who is able to work on more than one show at a time.

In her current role she creates dance for groups and solo dancers all as part of a larger production. Has a reputation with colleagues for coming up with creative ideas and then turning them into dance routines for live shows, events, TVs, and films. This is something she does by carrying out research into trends, watching dance shows, attending performances, and reading up on different routines.

Her own career began as a dancer, and she is someone who has studied Choreography from an early age. Has experience of working with dancers and performers of all ages and ability levels. What she has learnt has enabled her to gauge what looks great to an audience and also guide dancers as they perfect their routines.

Possesses superb communication skills that allow her to come across clearly to those she teaches. She is also a super team player who can coordinate, teach, and inspire others to work together to create a performance.

A true professional who shows up on time for all rehearsals, performances, and meetings. Can maintain her composure and professionalism in a high-energy environment. Is obsessed with dancing to the extent that in her spare time she makes notes of things that inspire her or new sequences and moves that she has found.

On a personal level she is physically fit and able to work the long gruelling hours required to get a performance right. She has the patience needed to instruct others, and always gives constructive feedback to her students in a tactful, informative and helpful manner.

Right now, she would like to join an organisation where there will be career long learning and development opportunities.
