Sales Manager job description

Sales Managers play a pivotal role in any business were selling and marketing is critical to success. Being a Sales Manager is all about achieving goals, leading a sales team and managing people and their time. They are required to have a comprehensive understanding of their company’s products or services, and must be able to perform well in highly pressurised environments.

Apart from increasing revenue, they can also be responsible for achieving sales objectives, hiring and developing staff, as well as managing sales districts. Anyone applying for a position should have a proven track record of reaching targets. They should possess initiative and good business sense and have a high level of enthusiasm to be able to motivate and lead a team.
