Dear Ms Graham,
With reference to an advertisement on the Dayjob.com website, I am applying for the post of Guest Relations Manager with your company.
I consider myself a doer, someone who is able to get the job done no matter what obstacles are in the way.
I am passionate about finding innovative ways to deliver a better service to guests. There is nothing I cannot or will not do to improve the experience of those who stay at my hotel. As a true all-rounder, I can organise guest events, man the reception and switchboard when required, and maintain meeting rooms. Being a proficient multi-tasker means I am used to managing a busy diary. By the same token I a all-rounder who can update websites, emails and social media, as well as prepare agendas and take minutes at meetings.
Aside from my technical skill I am highly resilient, able to hit the ground running and pride myself on my ability to think ahead. I consider myself a proactive, calm and self-motivated individual who has excellent customer service skills and a relentless focus on achieving results. Furthermore, as a superb communicator you can rest assured that I am that person who can deal with the general public, customers, employees, unions and government officials with tact and courtesy.
Chief amongst my unique competencies is my ability to produce results that will meet or exceed the hotel’s business plan. I’ll cut costs and find efficiency savings in the most unlikely of places. Greater details of my accomplishments and achievements can be found in my attached resume.
Right now, I would like to work for a hotel like yours that offers a competitive and attractive benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus. Finally, I would like to thank you for your time and expectantly wait to hear a positive response from you.
