At my current place of work I am mainly responsible for taking on the management of IT initiatives as agreed with the Senior IT Managers. This basically means that I have to work with colleagues to chair meetings with customers regarding their requirements. On a typical day I will oversee technical operations, implement information technology services across the company and manage operational budgets.
During my career I have gained a wide range of transferable skills that are directly related to your position. These include, but are not limited to;
- Writing up concise reports for senior managers on key issues facing the company.
- Having an input into developing strategic plans for future improvements of the company’s own IT structure.
- Managing professional relationships with third parties and stakeholders.
On a personal level I am a good forward planner and thinker who is always ready to face new challenges no matter what they are. I must also mention that I have superb listening skills and am able to quickly pick up key points from a conversation.
