Dear Ms Graham,
This letter is to express my strong interest in your vacant position for a Paralegal, which was recently advertised on the Dayjob.com website.
I am unlike any other candidate you will see in that I have a unique ability to give legal advice without the legal jargon. I believe that this skill coupled with my ability to provide fast and efficient support to senior legal professionals, makes me an ideal candidate for your opening.
I am committed to guiding my clients though the complex world of law and to helping them to meet challenges, solve complex problems and achieve key goals. Furthermore, as a true professional I am willing to take ownership of important tasks and prepared to accept full responsibility for my actions or decisions.
According to you advert an applicant should be able to treat all issues with the utmost confidentiality and keep clients informed of what is going on at all stages of any proceedings. I am happy to state that I can do both of these functions and much more.
Through my career I have learnt how to interview witnesses, provide quotes to clients, review pleadings, proof read correspondence and work with outside counsel. With my present employer I carry out a wide range of administrative and legal secretarial tasks. I am also involved in negotiating contracts, liaising with third parties and tracking the status of ongoing cases.
I really look forward to having a one to one interview with you, where you will have an opportunity to explore my knowledge in depth and ask me tough questions.
If after going through my attached resume you feel that I have the potential that you are looking for then please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an interview.
