Legal cashiers and administrators tend to work in courts or solicitors offices
Legal cashiers and administrators are responsible for dealing with accounts and finance functions of a solicitors practise and are situated in solicitor’s offices. Legal cashiers would most likely work as the sole bookkeepers, managers of administrators, in a larger firm, could be responsible for a high number of staff. A register of vacancies are kept at the institute of legal cashiers and administrators, which provides a free service to solicitors and members.
Training and qualifications required
There are three levels of qualification within the institute if legal cashiers and administrators which include, diploma, fellowship and associate ship examinations. In order to take these, you do not require formal academic qualifications. The diploma covers the maintenance of a solicitor’s internal financial record as well as being a qualification in itself. If you wish to make a career as a legal cashier or administrator, it enables them to advise and manage financial and administrative affairs in any solicitors office.

In order to be able to apply for a job within this area you should have skills such as having a high standard of integrity and reliability and be very discreet.
