Dear Ms Graham,
After reading your job advert on the Dayjob.com website, I believe that you are looking for an outstanding Bookkeeper like me to join your existing team. I have the relevant experience of working in a bookkeeping focused position that you are looking for in a candidate, and come to you as someone who is educated to a high level and who possess all the right qualifications.
For the past two years I have been employed as a Bookkeeper by Johnson Electrics. I am intimately involved in all the firms accounting & finance activities and have been instrumental in setting up their Purchase Order systems.
During my career I have worked in both small and large sized companies, and am confident in my ability to work in a busy office where there is a need for a hardworking, trustworthy and enthusiastic individual. I must also mention that I have experience of using a variety of Sage account packages to process financial information. My key competencies include, but are not limited to;
- Chasing up late payments and dealing with invoice dispute.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the payroll system.
- Ensuring any financial data is accurate.
On a personal level I can manage my own workload, effectively organise my own time and have a flexible approach to work. I have an analytical and methodical approach to my duties and exercise great attention to detail.
Right now I am keen to work for a company like yours that places great emphasis on developing talent from within their existing staff. In addition to this letter I have also attached my current resume which I hope will give you a more comprehensive idea of my competencies.
I would like to thank you in advance for taking up some of your valuable time to review my application, and very much hope that you will invite me to an interview.
