Dear Ms Graham,
I am writing this letter to let you know that I will not be coming to work after the 12th August 2021.
Leaving a stable and secure job is a difficult decision for me, but I have to do so, on account of to my desire to study and invest in my education.
Next month, I will be enrolling as a student at …………. College and need to resign from my role at (Company name) before then.
The course I am starting uniquely combines my long standing interests and future career objectives. Furthermore, I am also attracted to it because I am confident that after graduating, it will give me access to a huge range of employment opportunities. I am very confident that it will open doors to many rewarding positions.
I hope you will understand my situation and not hold any animosity towards me. My resignation should, in no way, be taken as a sign of dissatisfaction with your company or my role within it. Indeed, I would go as far as saying that the learning experiences and skills I have developed whilst at (company name) have laid the foundations for this new academic stage of my life.
In the meantime, before I leave, I want to help make the transition period as ceaseless as possible. One of the ways I will do this is to help with the integration and training of my replacement. Please let me know how I can best assist in this endeavour.
