Dear Ms Graham,
Please consider me for your exciting position of Warehouse Team Leader which I saw advertised today on the Dayjob.com website.
I lead by setting clear goals, telling people what is expected of them, encouraging happiness, not punishing failure and fostering collaboration within the team. All of these are traits that I believe will make me an ideal candidate for your vacancy. I get to know my team and make time to lead.
I have the ability to organise the receipt, storage and delivery of goods in the most cost-effective way. I’m also able to ensure the efficient management and control of a Warehouse Operation within agreed budgetary and service levels. I will achieve all of this by implementing best practice warehousing principles, policies and processes at every opportunity.
Through my career I have learnt how to represent my employer in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner. At the moment I work in a large warehouse supervising and providing direction and guidance to team of 20 staff. I manage and implement the warehouse roster and ensure there are enough trained staff to meet workload demands all in line with budget allocation. I am always on the ground to monitor and evaluate the performance of workers. My superiors have commended me on my ability to use computer-based systems to analyse and interpret data to run the warehouse.
On a personal level I consider myself a highly organised, flexible, and diligent individual who has strong attention to detail, and the ability to build and sustain good relationships.
Right now I would like to work for a company like yours that welcomes applications from everyone and values diversity in its workforce. I have attached my most current CV with this letter for your kind consideration, please feel free to call me to arrange an interview.
