Dear Ms Graham,
I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Warehouse Team Leader position within your company.
I consider myself a first-rate supervisor who sets challenging but achievable goals, and gives people the tools to succeed. You can rely on me to ensure efficient warehouse space utilization and oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
As you can also see from my attached CV I have experience of maintaining high standards of security in a warehouse, and of ensuring that vehicles, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose. I also possess extensive knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse. Further to this I have no trouble working early starts, late finishes, weekends and nights.
In my current role I work in a specialist warehouse that is involved in the storage of temperature-controlled products, such as food, pharmaceuticals and hazardous materials. I manage staff by strictly enforcing operational policies and procedures as set out by management. I ensure that inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled with automated system records.
Right now, I am looking to make a move into a role where I can expect to be involved in more than just the traditional duties associated with this job. I am keen to join a company like yours that is not looking to fill a vacancy, but to partner with its own people. Finally, I would like to thank you for taking the time to consider my application and invite you to contact me if you feel the need to interview me.
