Dear Ms Graham,
With reference to an advertisement on the Dayjob.com website, I am applying for the post of Site Supervisor with your organisation.
I know which responsibilities to delegate and which ones to do myself.
I believe that without good leadership things can break down fast. Not wishing to sound boastful, I believe that I have all of the competencies that you are looking for in a candidate, chief amongst these is my ability to set targets, issue orders, give direction and provide support to staff.
I come to you as someone who can supervise workers as well as subcontractors and make sure their performance meets the high standards required. I have extensive experience in the field of ………. and can be relied upon to deal with any immediate problems or emergencies which may arise.
In my current role I am responsible for assessing hazards, determining risks, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining safety programmes. I am always alert to new challenges and address issues as soon as they arise.
On a personal level, I am a superb negotiator who has the ability to manage conflict well. I will ensure that a work environment runs smoothly and that employees work in coordination with one another and free from conflict.
Right now, I am keen to join an organisation like yours that has a reputation for looking after all of its employees. I would welcome an interview with you where we can discuss my application further. Thank you very much for taking the time to review my application.
